Was I supposed to send in my SAT scores??

I'm an current senior, and I got a 231 on my junior PSAT, which I know qualifies me for National Merit Semifinalist. However, when I took the SAT in June, I checked the box that said "Do not send me information regarding scholarships" or whatever. Now, I haven't gotten a letter notifying me of Semifinalist status, and I'm freaking out that I missed my opportunity by putting that and not sending my scores to the National Merit Scholarship people. Will I still be able to become a National Merit Finalist???

Yes, you can still make NMF.

Here’s what you do…go to the Collegeboard/SAT website to send your scores. Send your scores to NMCorporation #0085. You do the process just as if you’re sending scores to a college.

It’s not too late…the scores are due by December. :)

But do it now to be safe!!!

And…regarding your NMSF paperwork. Schools have until mid Sept to pass those out. So, when you go back to school next week, ask your GC about that paperwork.
