Was this really dumb or borderline?

I submitted 330 words for my short answer. I put "PLEASE REFER TO ADDITIONAL INFORMATION" in the short answer box and put the answer in the additional information section. The meat of the answer was lost with 150 words, and I don't think the 330-word essay is boring, either. Am I dumb or can that possibly be a good thing? You can read it if you need to in order to give me a good answer.

No sarcasm, please.

Are you saying that you used the "Additional information" section for your short answer because your answer had too many words to fit in the "short answer" box?

Yes. It was a great essay, though. Flame me if you want, I just want feedback.

i would say that what you did was pretty stupid.

the common app asked for a maximum of 150 words. if u exceed the limit, college will see that you cant even respect simple guidelines.

yeah, in my opinion, that was dumb.

Yeah I must say, that's pretty stupid

Agreed. I wouldn't do it.
