I am on the waitlist for Wash U, but I sent in a packet of a cover letter, essay on why I want to attend and why I would be good for the school, and a list of other reasons why I want to attend. Will this help my chances of getting off the waitlist?

Sure, but don’t count on it. WashU doesn’t take a lot of people, and they’re all qualified. Good luck!

I hope so. I did the same thing. I hope we both get off the wait list :)

My bro won’t go, a spot for you, good luck
It’s very hard to decline WashU offer, honestly.

Thanks for the replies. Does anyone one when they give you a financial aid package if you do get taken off the waitlist?

cool5s…
I PM’d you asking why your brother decided not to attend Wash U.

You said there weren’t any direct flights and it was too far away from home.
Did you mean the flights are too expensive?
I don’t know if this helps or not but I got a mileage credit card for myself (from United) and they gave me 50,000 points and I was able to get a ticket for my son for $100 from Dallas to Spain (with connections).

Also, I wanted to post this in case others may have ideas too. If you want help it would be helpful if you tell us where your brother would be travelling from. Also, I would call Wash U and ask if they have any ideas too. They may give you an extension for a couple days to see if you can figure it out.

Thanks newjersey17, I PM’d you back.
