Okay, I am going to do my best to shorten the introduction and get straight to the point. I am a student at Coastal Carolina for this semester, and I hate it. Being I am from Pennsylvania, it is a burden and I am sick of the student body. I was already accepted to W&J and John Carroll. My issue is the decision process. W&J just came back with a slightly better offer (a few hundred dollars a semester), and it is overall making this decision much harder. Here is the overview:

I am going as a business major. Currently I am a marketing major, but I plan to change that and create my own major at both of the institutions. A strange mix of International Business, Entrepreneurial Studies and Computer Science. I have always been a 4.0 student, but now I am looking for more of a challenge at a university. I would rather gain more experience and knowledge with a 3.7 than waltz through with a 4.0.

That being said, I will give my overview and opinion of both schools

W&J

Better campus
More opportunities (Look up the Magellan Project if you do not know what this is)
More prestige
Closer to home
Better placement rates
More selective with students
Much better average business/commerce salaries ($177k!)

John Carroll

Known primarily for its business program
Better environment outside of campus
Affiliate of Catholicism (I am Catholic)
More notable alumni in business field
More networking connections (In my opinion)
Better food
Better dormitories

It is a very hard decision. I sat in at a class at W&J and it was wonderful! I wish I had the same opportunity at John Carroll! W&J is showing much interest in me by dropping their price to assist me, but John Carroll had already given me the best they could. Both offers are spectacular (Approx. $7,000 a semester). I can't seem to ask my parents or my girlfriend because they all share bias towards one school or another. When I asked people I knew at work, they all leaned for W&J, but this may be because of the reputation.

Please give me your opinion! It is greatly appreciated! I can answer any questions.

Thanks!
