Washington University in St. Louis Class of 2021 RD Discussion Thread

when are the scholarship essays due

@allima In approximately -23.5 hours

That stinks. Oh well

@JemmaSimmons @allima the scholarships were already due yesterday 5pm central time…

@ap012199 I know, that’s why I said negative hours. :slight_smile:

@JemmaSimmons oh lol my bad didn’t see that

@ap012199 Thanks!

@ap012199 Philosophy on pre-med track. Hbu?

@143WashU143 English with a focus on creative writing. I’m thinking of minoring in environmental science too.

Do we know what day Wash U released RD results last year? And were all decisions released at once or in waves?

@WashUDreamer Last year results were released on March 10 at approximately 5:30 ET. I believe they were released all together on the portal. Merit scholarships were on February 17.

@JemmaSimmons you mean they told you if you got the merit scholarship? Meaning you could find out if you got in by februrary 17? Lucky you guys

@allima Oh no, I’m an applying senior like you! I’ve just gone back and studied last year’s threads. Merit finalist decisions come out in February, so yes, if you get a scholarship, I would assume that means you are also admitted, if that’s what you mean.

That’s awesome that you guys could potentially find out in February if you got in!

Yeah that would be awesome

It would be awesome in more ways than one, haha! :slight_smile:

Wow, that would feel so good.

@JemmaSimmons what scholarships threads did you look at? Can you link them please?

@143WashU143 Sure. The main one I looked at for scholarship notification is http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/washington-university-st-louis/1852320-wustl-merit-scholarships-class-of-2020.html

The first result is on page 10, post #141.

Here’s the thread for last year’s RD results. The decisions start at the bottom of page 43, #644.

If you search for “USPS” in the chat, the first result is on page 43 (instead of tabbing through all of the pages if you’re on mobile).
