wats the lowest SAT or ACT score anyone has gotten to get into NYU?

All-in-all, I wouldn't take the risk with your test scores and GPA. While you might get in with those scores, it's a slight reach (i.e. less than 50% chance). So you'll definitely want to improve in one of those two categories (if not both) to help further your chances of gaining admission.

There are people each year that have higher GPAs and test scores that do not receive admission, whereas there are a few each year that have lower scores and GPAs that do get in.

I wouldn't take the risk. Work a little harder the rest of your high school career, so you aren't biting your nails about your admission and/or feeling remorseful for not working hard the last year.

1300 and aroumd a 3.3 GPA

If you have killer, ivy-league-style EC's/Awards/Essays, yes, I s'pose it's possible..

My D got in with a 1190 / 1850 and a 3.4 GPA, but in violin performance. After reading how brutal this admission season has been, I'm even happier she got serious about music in 10th grade.

Sorry to be so brutally honest, but if that's 1300/2400, don't even waste your time applying.
In other words - hit the SAT books.

I think poster meant 1300 out of 1600

lol
