Could someone tell me a bit more about the weather, the type of seasons and the temperatures year-round at Hartford. It would be a really great help, thanks.

haha...this is in fact a good question...lot of ppl r unfamiliar with the weather type in this region...esp intenationals like me. i wud say summers r hot, like 80 to mid 90s. but we have ACs in most of the academic buildings and during summer we get to live in AC dorms (most of us I wud say). so it tends to be fine. winters r chilly n snowy. bring lot of winter clothing. but dont think u r on everest expedition.lol. spring is like a month..it doesnt stay for long. its april right now and its still chilly. we had mid 40s today. i hope this answers.

Haha.. yeah.

Good weather doesn't seem to stay. It's been very rainy recently.. but you know what they say: "April showers bring May flowers!"

Well, no one actually says that out loud, but, you know, most people probably think it at some point in time, right?

Thanks a lot vdgreat. So at least now I know what to look for before I go shopping!:)

There was another thread around here somewhere about what type of clothes to bring.

Recently it's been raining around here, so galoshes/wellies are a must. It also snows a significant amount, so while Ugg's are fashionable, functional snowboots should be considered as well. In terms of coats and such, a simple North Face would suffice. In the Fall, and thus far in Spring, I wore a sweatshirt over my t-shirt, with jeans. My Trinity sweatshirt and I have a great relationship.

Wow, seems like I might just overstretch my luggage limit. Thanks Bantamboy.

where r u frm nninj?

I'm from Nepal

me too..haha..lot of winter clothes i wud say...lol...pm me n then i can reply more specific.

I would recommend hoodies.
