<p>India & The Culture of Yoga
Crossroads Community Center and Capstone International Center

Start the academic year by learning about other cultures - and how to relax - at the same time! Traditional Indian dancer and teacher Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy will discuss the history and fundamental breathing techniques of yoga. Enjoy this informative session about how yoga can help relieve stress and become part of your healthy lifestyle. Afterwards, connect with staff from the hosting campus partners, Crossroads Community Center and Capstone International Center, to learn more about their programs offered throughout the year.</p>

Join us at the Homegrown Alabama Farmers’ Market! Stop by for live music, crafts, and as always - fresh Alabama-grown produce, assorted flowers, honey, soap, herbs, and baked goods. Don’t have a kitchen? No worries! Recipes are on hand for easy to prepare meals in your residence hall. The market is held every Thursday from April through Oct. from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. on the lawn of Canterbury Episcopal Chapel. Homegrown Alabama is a student-led organization that seeks to increase awareness of the value of local produce by fostering partnerships between local farmers, the university, and surrounding community.

Greekfest is back again for another year of raising money for the community and bringing high-quality music to The University of Alabama. Learn about the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) fraternities and sororities at UA. Topics will include membership requirements and the benefits of joining Greek Life. Connect with the Office of Greek Affairs to discuss important information about hazing as well as the various guidelines specific to joining an organization at UA. There is a $5 fee to attend Convocation and all proceeds benefit the NPHC S.T.R.O.N.G. Scholarship Fund which is given to a UA student at the Homecoming Step Show.
