Ripple Effect: Freshman Day of Service

Excellence in service begins with The Center for Sustainable Service & Volunteerism Ripple Effect! Freshmen and transfer students are invited to begin their community service career with this annual event. Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Ferguson Center Plaza and service begins at 10 a.m. Transportation will be provided to various project sites where students will volunteer until 1 p.m. Students will work alongside community members and UA student leaders, faculty and staff. A free lunch will be served immediately following students’ return to campus. Your first official trip to the NEW Student Activity Center at Presidential Village as a UA student will come with a live DJ, food and a variety of extreme and recreational activities! Highlighted areas of the facility include the massive 40-foot climbing wall, the cycling studio featuring brand new state-of-the-art spin bikes and a three-court gymnasium with an enclosed multi-activity center for sports like indoor soccer and floor hockey. Each level will have something for you and all of your friends, so bring your ACT Card and come join the fun!
