I know that grades are the key to acceptance at Penn State. I have taken virtually all Honors and AP classes so I have an unweighted GPA of a little over 3.2 but weighted shoots up to 3.95. Do they look at both? Or just take the highest (I hope)?

Unweighted, sorry.

Now, wait a minute…I’m not really sure. I thought it was unweighted.

If you look at the bubble chart that PSU has posted on their website - the GPA’s on it go well above 4.0, so my guess is that they use weighted GPA’s.

Thanks Quiet…do you have a link to the bubble chart?

Thanks.

Penn State looks at weighted.

Here’s the link to the PSU “bubble chart.” (Don’t take the values as gospel, since the data relates to the incoming class of 2008.)
