today i got a mail from dartmouth saying :
"Based on the information you have sent us, you will be considered as a candidat for regular decision. If this is not correct, please let our office know as soon as possible."
i submitted the pre-app and ed form on 17th sept and the others on 1st nov from commonapp
i have copies of the form and i have checked the right boxes
what are they trying to say?

They're just sending you a confirmation that they received your application. Chill, no biggie.

Call them, and tell them you applied ED. It's just a little mix up, so don't worry. A two-minute phone call will fix it.

It's not a mix-up. Everyone who applied ED got one.

themindofayn,

Yes, everyone who applied ED should have gotten that letter. Abhay said that he applied ED, but the letter stated Dartmouth was processing him as a RD applicant. It is just a mix-up; someone could have just checked off the wrong box on the computer or something. When going through 1200 apps, someone is bound to make a mistake. A two-minute phone call will fix it.
