Weird Transfer Scenario. College Drop out to CC to Hopeful School.Any inputs appreciated

Hi Guys,

Long story short. I attended a top public university in California, but the location and the time just wasn’t for me, let alone what I wanted to major in. I think I got my life together, but I’ve taken courses to transfer back to a top school preferably UCLA. I’m confused as to if I will be treated as a CC transfer or UC or what have you. I’ve taken most of my units at CC that are required for my major and only a year worth of credits at my previous university. I know CC get transfer priority so I’m not sure if I should come back to my previous university if I don’t have any chance getting in. Also, I’ve taken most of credits online at various community colleges. So I’m guessing I will be sending in bunch of transcripts in and they will probably know (IDK if they will) that I’ve taken theses courses online. So what I’m trying to say is when people say they transfer from so and so, it is usually one college like California Community School, while I will have credits from X,B,Y,Z etc. Lol.

Thanks guys!

You will be considered a CC student if you have completed 30 units and a CC is your most recent school of attendance.

Did you leave in good standing at your previous UC? Also look into unit maximums, since you have 4 year credits.

Online classes aren’t looked down upon. Do they all transfer to the UCs? You only need to send a transcript once you have been admitted. You only self report grades on the app.
