<p>hey! I was wondering if anyone could evaluate some of the activities that will go on next week. I was wondering if like say, those guides to success in R&C are helpful. Also, how are the dance classes at night by the ballroom dance team? Is the Cal store discounts on monday a good deal? thanks in advance!</p>

<p>I will offer a general piece of advice. Go to MORE things than you might, in any other situation in your life, and introduce yourself to MORE people than you might, in any other situation in your life. You will never have a chance like this to meet people who are interested in meeting other people. So put yourself out there as much as possible.</p>

<p>The Campanile at dusk is pretty neat. Ballroom classes are okay if you want to meet people; they’re VERY crowded. If you’re interested in ballroom in general, they teach classes during the year for like $5. </p>

<p>As for the Student Store discount night, it’s probably not really worth it if you’re serious about saving $$ on textbooks. (In which case you would use comegetused.com, half.com, amazon.com, etc) But if you’re going to buy them at the Student Store anyway, then why not go?</p>

<p>@calasian: apparently there are 2 different discount nights, one on 8/24 for all students, and one on 8/25 for regents</p>

<p>since when did Berkeley have a VIP club for students with astronomical GPAs in HS :(</p>
