<p>When does this start.. and when can students move in? I'm a bit confused. I want to be there for the first football game but I live in NJ</p>
<p>Usually a week before class. Move into your dorm the first day its open for move-in, even if your hall isn't supposed to yet. They'll still let you check in. That will at least get you an extra day to set up and party.</p>
<p>The most important thing is to get a keg in your room for Welcome Week. It would be too easy. Just throw it in one of those blue bins they use for move-in and throw stuff on top of it. You are instantly the most popular guy in your hall. (Just don't blast loud music late at night...that's an invitation for the fuzz)</p>
<p>When you get housing assignments, you'll be told which day to move in on. They stagger when people move in over a week so that the city isn't completely overrun. Everybody is moved in by Friday, and the first game is that Saturday.</p>
