Oxy is know to take people off the wailist who drop any request for financial aid. A coach let a friend in on this little secret.

Hey Kali, PM me and then I'll drop you some of my plans. Right now im busy making a plan and setting up everything I need to start my appeal with my teachers / counselor at school tomorrow. PM and best of luck in your plans. Maybe we can actually meet someday at one of our colleges...:)

Let us know how it's going. Good luck!

A more up-to-date statistics that Northstarmom gave: The average SAT for this year's pool of accepted students was 1400, and the average GPA 4.0.

Good luck on your appeal.

Wow, and I thought I should have deserved better than my spring admission there. Your stats are very good, perhaps they just didn't see anything that really "stood out."

Go for it, dude, you definitely should fare well with your appeal.

megathunder: were your stats better than his, and what do you think gave you the extra push for your spring admittance?

Well, actually, now that I go back and look at the EC's he listed more closely I don't think it was as clear cut as I thought. A lot of those EC's are just space fillers with no real back behind them, so I can't give them too much credit. Before I simply glanced over and noticed the heavy words, but there really isn't any committment or passion to any one area, so that may be his problem.

Anyway, to answer your question, imo, my stats were better, but that doesn't really matter at this point.

To the OP, good luck with that appeal...
