Wellesley CO 2015 EE/RD Thread

If you look back at the ED thread, you’ll see the same thing happened with the financial aid awards. They were posted a week early, then abruptly removed from the My Wellesley page amidst repeated formal protestations that it had all been a “meaningless glitch.” While it may have been a glitch, it was still a reliable indication of who had been accepted and who hadn’t.

This glitch is similar to what happened with MoHo a few days back. Decisions just came out yesterday (I got a 21st century scholarship, yay!), but we kinda got a hint of decisions from the fin. aid page where there was extra stuff that should only pertain to accepted students (like mine had some loan info). Later, the whole thing disappeared only to reappear after decisions were posted.

so wellesley decisions are out??

I am confused about "but we kinda got a hint of decisions from the fin. aid page where there was extra stuff that should only pertain to accepted students (like mine had some loan info). "

Because I am on my account now
where would I find that because theres links about loans

GarfieldGirl was talking about MHC, not Wellesley.

so the admissions decisions are being mailed out today… in a few days, we shall know our fate.

Did they post decisions of the portal last year for RD?

I shouldn’t be this nervous since I got a likely EE but I really need to see the FA package…

kenzie: I thought they were going to post fin aid info today for EE candidates? My d thought she read it in an email from them.

…waitlisted

argh! so the wait continues…losing hope though

hmm…
should we make a separate thread for decisions?

thereisnowhy- i’m sorry to hear that. good luck to you!

wait… where are the decisions???

International applicants are getting the decisions online.
If you live in the US you have to wait for snail mail. Only a few more days.

Admission notifications in my portal.
“Applicants attending secondary school outside of the United States will be notified of their decisions online through their MyWellesley portals on Wednesday, March 23 at 5 pm Eastern Daylight Time. Decisions will remain posted until April 29.”

Good luck everybody! Hope to see you all next year :D

Wellesley’15 :)

Argg I though people in the US were also going to get email notifications! Anyone know if they mail the decisions express? could we get the letter as early as tomorrow?(MA resident here!)

I’m an international and got an email saying that applicants attending secondary school outside of the US will be notified of their decisions online through the MyWellesley Portal on Wed, March 23, 5PM EDT.
@amberstars If you’re not an international, you’ll probably get your decision letter in a few days because I think they just posted them out today. All the best!
and @thereisnowhy I got waitlisted too… it’s now 6am where I live and it really sucks waking up to a letter informing you that you’re not good enough… but I guess it was sort of expected since I got a ‘probably’ for EE. Oh wells, let’s keep our fingers crossed!

@ purplegum

I’m so glad I’ve got someone who feels the same way! The wait is the worst part, and they said that notifications can come as late in 30th June, which majorly messes up planning for uni (as I had hoped to find out TODAY). Also, I did some very clever maths (not really) and realized that i found out my decision at 6am as well - which means we could be in the same timezone? EXCITEMENT! Asia Pacific Wellesleyers! I am in Hong Kong, you?

another HKer here =D

I wonder if any US students are going to get decisions as early as today? I hope so  Not me, I’m in WA State, but thanks to EE the only thing putting me on the edge of my seat with Wellesley is financial aid

Good luck everyone!!!   I’m so excited :)

My senioritis is so bad, I’m on CC on my laptop during every class. I usually try not to be super obvious about it because my college obsession is a little bit extreme, but I just noticed the guy sitting next to me in history on CC as well.

@tacos: i called the office the other day and they said Americans get their stuff by snail mail. yay for us…
