Wellesley College Class of 2015- Early Decision

I agree on the relationship comment, Marama.
I feel like right now I want to focus on myself and achieve the most I can with as little distraction as possible. I don’t mind getting into an relationship but it’s not on the top of my to-do list.
plus really…MIT and Harvard is about 30 minutes away(same with Boston), so nope, not concerned with social scenes at all.

Sinfused, I understand what you say when you talk about how no one knows about how AWESOME Wellesley is. My high school is so focused on getting into the ivies/Stanford/MIT or whatever that people fail to recognize how great other colleges are.

But we here know that Wellesley is amazing and how strong of a college it is.

And with the boys thing… I HATE it when people ask that. I’m not going to college to meet boys or whatever.

I think this obsession with the Ivy League is universal. Pretty dumb, if you ask me.

Re the “full of lesbians” comment - my d has said it doesn’t bother her even if it is true!

Hey everyone! I’m also an ED applicant for Wellesley and those people who criticize me for applying ED to an all womens college are so narrow minded! They don’t see that an all womens college can be a great thing for some people and how much Wellesley has to offer its students. Also, like some of you said, I’m not looking for a relationship right now. I really want to focus on my work and do well in school, but if I did want a relationship (and if I get into Wellesley) Babson, MIT and Harvard are right now the road! My brother goes to MIT and he tells me all the time about how Wellesley girls are always at MIT parties and a lot of his friends date Wellesley girls. I’m not concerned about the lack of boys however it is vexatious when people wrinkle their nose at the prospect of attending an all womens college

Hi. I just logged into my daughter’s My Wellesley page and noticed that two of the three sections having to do with financial aid have disappeared. The only thing that remains is the button saying “financial aid questions.”

I wonder if this is a good or a bad sign. Could that mean she’s been rejected, so she no longer needs financial aid information???

If anyone else has also noticed a change on their My Wellesley page, please tell me. Thanks.

I just checked mine, it’s the same thing as your daughter’s page~

Mine as well

Hey guys!
I read a lot of what you guys wrote, haha, we’re all going through the same things.
I’m an ED applicant for Wellesley as well… All this waiting is killing me I swear… one week left ladies, just one more week.

I’m so happy that I’ve finally found a place to talk about this! My mom, unfortunately, doubts that I will get accepted. :frowning: makes me sad. BUT I have a little faith in myself

Does anybody know how many ED applicants there are this year?..

I’M SO NERVOUS!!!

Hello GranolaBar18 :)

I suspect there are quite many haha probably increased from last year…many colleges are receiving more ED applicants than previous years~

Uh oh… I wonder if that will affect the percentage of ED applicants getting accepted…

I hope not, but as people said in previous posts, Wellesley accepted too many applicants last year…so they might admit less this year D:
I know…bad luck huh?

Say what??? How many did they accept last year? :o

edit: I don’t know why did that surprised smiley face turn into a purple smiling smiley face… but you get what I mean. :00000000000000!

just read the post…40 more!!! :0 …
bites on nails
jumps up and down
brushes hair

AHHHHH I’m so nervous!!!

:‘(

sigh*
my reactions exactly. except the eats oranges lol
I’m just gonna hope for the best ><
please ignore my B’s…Please ignore my less than perfect SATs… GAHHH

oh you guys are making me even more nervous if thats possible! I hope we all get in! I want to go so badly! One more week! crosses fingers

Just wondering, but does anyone have an “Outstanding” note or something like that next to their items on the materials checklist?
Because according to the site, they mark them as outstanding if there are any items (I’m guessing personal statements among other things) that were really good.

I don’t have it, but I was wondering if someone saw that on their checklist
:D

As a current first year student at Wellesley, I wish you guys a good luck in decisions! I remember how I was staring on the computer screen in late February earlier this year waiting for my Early Evaluation!

Good luck and be happy regardless of decisions! I didn’t get into my number one school, but I am fairly content at where I’m at right now (Wellesley :P). Hehe. But seriously, don’t stress over it too much. :)

@evelyn5356-- where did you read that? I couldn’t find it!

And to everyone else- Hello! As redundant as it seems, I am a fellow ED applicant, and LOVE Wellesley for the same reasons already mentioned! One week left!!!
