XD Whoa congrats you guys. Got the news today. 4 rejected me 2 to go. LOL I feel like the worst "dating" person on the planet. Oh well.

Anyone someone asked how do you know if you are accepted/waitlisted/rejected....forgot which thread it is

You are rejected if the letter says "We are sorry that we cannot place you in the class of 2011"

Anyone else any ideas what the accepted/waitlisted says exactly? x] Ha ha ha!

=/ Would it wrong of me to send an update on my credentials to Wellesley?I have no idea when I am going to be going. I think I should update my credentials. What do you guys think?

jimbob!!! I checked my mail for Thursday, and I HAVEN'T GOTTEN MINE EITHER!!!!
A girl who lives ten minutes away from me got hers on Monday.
But likely letter + catalog = I'm assuming acceptance to save myself trouble.

but i'm still gonna stay on the list, i'm just sad that i have to wait until June 30th for a final confirmation so i'm going to proactively (is that a word?) call them and send more updates (i already send 3 between the EE letters and officical letters), is anybody else staying on the waitlist?

now i'm like 90% certain i want to go to wellesley..i just got rejected to yale...hahahaha....i don't really want to go there but i have one big decision and then i'll know (but my dad is really rooting for me to go to wellesley..he hasn't even mentioned the tuition???) oh yeah, hbdesiato my little letter at the bottom of my acceptance was written by the dean of admission..it began with P.S..and then she talked a little about my essays. i thought they wrote it for everybody since the dean has to verify the list of accepts/rejects.

i don't know about everybody else but i have been absolutely ADDICTED to the wellesley website...

Well, now that Ivy Thursday has not been very kind to me, I am getting excited about Wellesley--there is a good chance that I will end up there next year (NYU and Carleton are my other options).

I don't know if it is the pain of rejection talking, but I do believe that the only thing I really lost today was the pride associated with saying that I went to an Ivy League school...and I already have 3 schools that anyone could be proud to say that they went to, Wellesley especially. Plus, whenever I feel bad, I just look at Wellesley's acceptance letter--it's so nice to know that such a great school wants you!!

Hopefully everyone on the board can say this about some school, even if it's not Wellesley.

Very, very true. I mean, today was disappointing for me, but I do honestly feel like I can get as good of an education at Wellesley or Carleton as at the Ivies, with the small exception that I was thinking of studying math at Princeton (had I been admitted, and not coldly rejected :(), which is probably the most prestigious math department in the country. Of course, I probably would have gotten there and realized how dumb I was at math!!! Plus, Carleton has a well-respected math department, and I can cross-register at MIT for math at Wellesley, so...the door is never closed!

Hee! Oh miss zanna, if I didn't know that you were honestly worried, I'd be upset with you right now! Your packet is just slow getting to you...you are going to be accepted! The postal system is weird...my likely letter from Wellesley got to me in two business days, while my acceptance letter took 6. It's coming...peruse the catalogue if you need something to occupy you :).

So is Wellesley still an option for you, omz, or no? I saw over on the Princeton board that you are leaning heavily towards UT, because of the money.
