Have anybodies still waited their decision letters?

Yep still haven't gotten it, ccyy.

Me neither

The admission office said it sent the decision letter out last Friday. Why has it not arrived?

No idea.
I'm assuming mine got lost in the mail because it always does.
What state are you in?

ok, my frd from China has gotten her acceptance decision online at the Wellesley banner thingy, but the thing is, she still hasn't received her official package yet.... does anyone have any idea whether or not Wellesley only sends some packages to internationals through UPS and others through snail mail? this is so weird....

what if the notification on the online account was a mistake?

this is seriously freaking her out.....i think i might have to go to the admissions office myself on her behalf if it still does'nt get to China next week.... :(

good or bad if so far have not received the decission letter?

D just received an email "So you've been admitted to Wellesley...

Congratulations!". The email provided a web "Welcome to the class 2011". But the package has not arrived yet.

ccyy: which country are you from?

and do you mind telling who wrote the e-mail to your D?

this is kinda' weird...cos' domestic applicants in the USA will only get their decisions through regular mail, and internationals should be able to check their decisions throught the online account provided by Wellesley...

from Canada and the email's from Wellesley College, Office of Admission admission@wellesley.edu

lmao I got Saturday's mail
And NOTHING again
At least they'll give me my decision over the phone on Monday morning...

So, Wellesley sent me their financial aid offer, and it's ridiculously paltry.

I guess I'll be sending my deposit to UNC-CH in the next week or so after I hear from William and Mary.. :(
..this makes me so sad.

When and how did you receive the FA offer? With your acceptance? Separate mail? My D (and I) are still waiting!

Interestingly you've applied to three of the same schools as my D: AU, W&M, Wellesley. Only financial info came from AU so far.

sorry, leah377, that really sucks. :(

Proud Dad, the financial aid offer is in a separate envelope inside the folder that you get with your acceptance letter.

I called Wellesley yesterday to ask why I received almost no financial aid ($3,000 in grants compared to $21,000 from Bryn Mawr and $25,000 from Dartmouth), and the financial aid officer I spoke to more or less said that she has no idea why the other schools gave me so much money, but that she'd review my forms and call me back next week. I'm still seriously considering Wellesley, and I'll probably still come to Spring Open Campus, but I can't believe they're expecting us to come up with over $45,000 per year when that's literally three-quarters of my parents' income after taxes and the only real estate we own is the house in Sweden that my dad's family built in the late 19th century, and that's worth less than $200,000. I'm not sure what their reasoning is, to be honest.

Did they say exactly how much it is this year?
I'm not expecting any financial aid at all :/

The total cost of attendance is listed as $49,025.

My Wellesley EFC is $42,000, compared to $22,260 at Bryn Mawr and $21,296 at Dartmouth. Wellesley also included work-study in the financial aid offer whereas Dartmouth's was all grants and a small loan (presumably work-study would count towards the EFC).

It sounds like an obvious choice, but if Wellesley can match or approximate Dartmouth's financial aid package, I'll have a difficult time deciding.
