Went to a community college, dropped before I received a grade.

I had a question about applying as a first time freshmen. I graduated in 2013, and went to community college the next fall. I was only in classes for about a month and dropped before the drop dead line. I received a W for all my classes, which at the school I went to, they don't have dropped or withdraw. It's just withdraw or Fail, if you don't drop by a certain date. I didn't receive financial aid or anything. Is it still okay for me to apply as a first time freshmen?

Call the school you intend to apply to and ask.

Also, contact your community college and ask what might qualify you to seek a full LATE DROP of all your withdrawn semester courses. You’d probably have to petition for the late drop and show some proof of unusual circumstances that led to you leaving. Like, death in the family an illness, and things of that scale. Your academic or financial adviser would know, probably (even if you didn’t use financial aid).

+1 to both of the above. Regardless of whether you end up with the Ws or a drop, some colleges will regard you as a transfer if you have matriculated at any degree-granting institution, even if you have earned no credits. Others will allow you to apply as a freshman until you have earned credits. To know for certain, you’ll need to contact every school to which you intend to apply.
