<p>So, my requested roommate and I found out we will be sharing a room in West Lo.</p>
<p>Since I know someone is going to ask... we both personally went down to the res services office and talked to like 4 different people until the manager overheard us.</p>
<p>We then went on to visit the place and it was EXTREMELY hot... are we able to use portable A/Cs there? I realize that there is a power consumption limit, but is it that regulated?</p>
<p>Any suggestions from upperclassmen on West Lo in general?</p>
<p>There’s a power consumption limit?! Darn. jk… what could you possibly do that would make them notice that you are using WAY too much electricity… unless you’re having like a rave in there or something.</p>

<p>I would totally just bring it. If they say anything about power consumption, I’d just be like wt F I pay so much for housing, and the AC doesn’t even work? Do you want me to die from suffocating?! >:[</p>
<p>Wait what? Upperclassmen from orientation told me that everyone keeps AC on 24/7 and that whole dorm building actually gets cold.</p>

<p>Yea we are both doing ROTC, so we kinda got “looked after” since we have to both wake up at 5 in the morning.</p>

does West have individual room AC or is it just run through one administrative unit?</p>

East and pentland have individual AC units while west and AI are controlled by their RA</p>

<p>You get used to it. And it ain’t no thing, just open a window. Bring a fan. take off your clothes. Or make friends in East Lo and go hang out with them. OOOORRR get someone old to buy you a 30 pack of Natty Ice, then stand in front of your open window with the fan on with your clothes off while you drink your natty ice. don’t sweat the heat, its not hot all year long. </p>
<p>Don’t worry about power consumption, what are they gonna do? fine you? well, they might fine you, but then you’ll know your limit. haha</p>
