Wharton ED, MIT, Cornell, Harvard..Chances??

collegebound_07: I may apply to those, but as you can see I already have so many schools that I am applying to. What do you think my chances are at cal and michigan compared to Wharton, HYP, cornell, mit sloan, uva, stern?

ok sloan wharton stern and mcIntern or w/e is really hard to get in

umich ross has a freshmen business program but its REALLY HARD TO GET IN
so if you apply to umich you start business when you become a sophomore

cornell is pretty easy in my opinion, 33 kids in my school got into cornell this year

wow 33 kids! how many were in the class?

But you're interested in Cornell's AEM major ... not so easy.

kevinobrien, what high school do you go to? Is is Ithaca High, an elite private school, or something else?

i go to thomas jefferson

33 cornell
12 dartmouth
9 yale
17 columbia
6 upenn
14 harvard
7 princeton
11 duke
12 brown
9 stanford
27 MIT

people got into other really good schools to but i dont wanan list them

Wasn't Thomas Jefferson ranked the best school in the country?? It's not your average high school.

bump........

I think you have a shot at these schools...I agree that I do not really see a pattern with your ECs in terms of business. You have FBLA but you concentrate on math/sci. Math looks good because that goes hand in hand with some business and you are taking business courses. However, I think you should find something more to truly show interest in business.

chinychinchang, thanks for your advice. FBLA and the business classes that I am going to take are the only business initiatives provided at our school. I understand you may be suggesting doing something outside of school to show interest; do you have any suggestions?
Thanks

Great SATs, great GPA, good ECs, but not totally business oriented. Maybe your focus on math will override that. I'd say you have very good shot at all the schools on your list, except Wharton might be a low reach.

Could you chance my thread? I'm also applying to Wharton.
