Wharton ED vs NYU Stern?

Hi all,

Basically, I'm a pretty average asian student and was wondering whether its worth taking the risk of ED'ing Wharton.

Weighted GPA (out of 5): 4.3 (i know its low.. its cuz i kinda fooled around frosh and soph year)
Top 10%
SAT: 2340 (Reading: 760, Math: 800, Writing: 780)
ACT: 35
SAT II: Math I & II 800, Chem 800, Physics 800, Literature 800
AP: Chem - 5, Physics B - 5, Comp Sci A - 5, BC Calc - 5, APUSH - 5, Spanish, Psych, Euro, Microecon, Stats, and English - I'm taking them this year
Senior Year Courseload - AP English IV, AP Psych, AP Spanish V, AP Stats, AP Euro (I alrdy took calc & physics as a jr :D) (so basically this is the hardest it can get :P)

Extracurriculars:
- Math team
- Sci team (we got to nationals :D)
- 2 A Cappella groups (1 that i founded myself - its an indian pop group)
- Acadec
- 300+ volunteering hours
- Unpaid intern at: United Way and local Science Museum

Awards
- Highest community service award signed by Obama
- NHS
- AP scholar w/ distinction

Other
- Took NYU Summer (for biz/finance)

So basically I wanna know:
1. Which of these 2 colleges are feasible?
2. Is it worth applying ED to Wharton to see if i can get in? (Basically is it worth taking a risk w/ Stern by ED'ing Wharton & RD'ing Stern as opposed to ED'ing Stern and Rd'ing Wharton)

Kk thanks :D

You’ve got a great shot, ED at Wharton, you’re in at Stern anyway…(:

thanks eli
Anyone else?

Don’t get caught up by what you hear on these forums, no one really knows if you have a great shot, a good shot, or no shot. And I wouldn’t say that you are “in” at Stern, these are all very difficult schools to get into. With that being said, you are a strong applicant, sure your GPA is kind of low, but your class rank might make up for that, work on your essays, and focus on how you are unique and how you would contribute to the University. Just have a level head going into it.

Your stats look promising. I agree with TheWikiMan that you now have to concentrate on developing outstanding personal essays and supplement essays to convey the unique aspects of your personality and how your characteristics would add flavor to the university’s community.

you could always edII at stern

so why are you a “pretty average Asian”? well i don’t know about pretty…
