Hello! I’m from Croatia and here Stanford “sounds” better than Wharton. Considering you guys are Americans and know better these universities, which would you choose for a business major?

If you are going into business, the answer is very easy. While Stanford has one of the best business schools for graudates in the world, the same can not be said for its undergrads. Wharton is generally regarded as having the number one business program for undergrads.

In the US, Wharton is much more prestigious for its business school, especially undergrad. I would highly recommend Wharton :)

forget prestige...I'd pick Philly over anywhere on the West coast! :)

And I'd rather go to Penn than Stanford, not to demean Stanford in any way. They're both great schools and you won't do yourself a disservice by chosing one over the other.

Stanford like most of top schools does not have undergraduate business school.

I say Penn, Stanford's campus, location (relative to a major city) and social aspects kinda turn me off.

This is a nice question...
What does an ug business degree differs from an MBA?
Will you just lose time and money taking both?

hey i come from the neighboring country close to you im from Serbia. i live in the US now, but from my point of view you might wanna chose Penn since Wharton is the best undergrad business school, its on the east coast and it is in the city so those are all the pluses. Stanford is amazing cause i heard that people there are soooo happy since they have amazing academics together with great social life. Its up to you whether you wanna go to Cali or stay on the east coast... (east coast is better)

west coast attitude rocks my world! i swear the east coast will make you mean and bitter and just plain depressed in the winter. go to cali. a penn degree and a stanford degree is so similar; both are amazing.

I understand that Stanford does not have an undergraduate business school, so if you are seriously concerning a business degree, then go to a proper business school, the best undergrad biz program, i.e. wharton

Undergrad business: Wharton
MBA: Both are excellent (though I'd personally prefer Stanford due to location)

I would go to Stanford just because of the weather. Coming from Cali myself, man, I hate Phili weather.

You Californians are such decadent wussbags when it comes to weather.

If you ever visit California you'd think you're in heaven. :D

As much as I love Penn, I gotta agree with Penn15^

You're not actually basing this decision on weather... are you?

weather can play an important factor in your happiness. If you hate the cold, for instance, I wouldn't recommend Carnegie Mellon, cause it would suck to be in Pittsburgh.

If you've seen the depression of weak Californians around here during winter, you'd believe it.

Seriously, they're such pussies.

I'm from a warm climate too, but I can't imagine basing that kind of decision on weather. Suck it up, people!

I would hate to be in Pittsburgh because it's Pittsburgh, not because of its weather... I had a lot of roommates in college from Pittsburgh :)
