im going to major in buisness, and is emerson good at it?

I applied to emerson (though I chose not to go) and I'm gonna say that given that it is "dedicated exclusively to communication and the arts in a liberal arts context." (take from thier website) it might not be the best place to go for business school. If you're interested in the Boston are better places to go, I think.

thanks for reply, and what do you think which universities are better in buisness?? but are not very hard to get in. Emerson is not very hard to get in, i search fot the same category

well... babson can be difficult... I would apply EA. but it is in boston and it is basically the emerson of business.

I recently visited Emerson(applying to Writ, Lit, and Pub and completely on nails about it. eech)
And in the tour they showed the business program, and apparently most people majoring in the arts with minor in business, because it shows you how to sell yourself...
From what i've seen/heard, Emerson's business is more about the marketing- the science of selling yourself- than it is about business practices and owning/operating.
They have really neat systems where they moniter people's eye movement, their feet, their pulse, and all of that, to see if they're interested or torpid.
Depends what you want to pursue, i guess.

Sorry if that didn't help in the slightest...I started this post with the idea that i was helping, but looking back... heh. sorry.

Emerson Doesn't have a business major. But you can major in Marketing and PR - I took those classes as a sub-major (Theatre studies, focus in PR and Marketing) when I was a student... and the department is great for anyone wanting to work in those fields... Boston has a huge Advertising industry.

I'm sorry - I have to say, I just looked at the Emerson website, and it looks like things have changed since I was a student - their E3 program looks awesome. I wish that was there when I was a student.

In Boston, not far from Emerson, look into Northeastern (co-op) and BU SMG for business as well as BC if you are willing to go into the suburbs.
