What About Dating?

hahaha well they do the best they can to stop PDA and things that go beyond kissing

hahahaha I just realized P-DA. which could be Public Deerfield Academy which you could turn into some kind of slang. or …Private DA which could be even…slangier

Maybe they should just ban toothpaste and mouthwash. :-)

but then everyone will look like they’re from england

and promote coffee haha

haha, wats the “3 feet on the floor” policy?

A boy and girl can be alone in a dorm room together, but the door needs to be open a certain amount and at least three of couple’s four feet must be touching the floor.

I would so disobey that rule on purpose lol ;)

so dating at Deerfield is good? do a lot of freshman date? what about freshman dating older students?

hahaha! I like that, I would have one foot hanging off the side of the bed but not touching the floor :)

Shame on you 411. DCs for you! lol

grade doesn’t really matter, a lot of freshmen date older students (sophomore acquaintance of mine was dating a senior)

Izzy! Ur still alive!
:D

yes! i am! (do i know you?)

it’s almost semester break, so i don’t have much homework and decided to get on CC

haha, no, but ive read alot ur threads/posts
I hear ur mx’s biggest cheerleader

How is the dating scene at the Lawrenceville School?

i was a freshman at a public high school in america.
then i went overseas to join 9th grade again in the third quarter (September. the academic year is Jan-Dec)
Now I’m done with 9th and applying to be tenth grade next fall. That means I’m going to be ■■■■■■■■ a grade.
I’m turning 16 in January. Is it appropriate that I still date Juniors my age when I’m a sophomore? I’m not attracted to girls younger than me at the moment (maturity/personality wise too…)

Making a committment to one particular guy is a burden when you’re as young as yourself. hookups > dating

I just read through this thread and it seemed pretty interesting. At my current single sex school (not boarding) dating is a joke. Most “relationships” comprise of just texting someone you met at a dance. And usually those “relationships” last at the most two weeks. What are the dances at boarding schools like?

lol well, I went to a continentally top-class all-boy boarding school last year (beginning of 8th grade). It’s not that bad. Yes, the texting thing is very true. Yet the girls are allowed to come over from the sister school and we the boys can signup for a group visit (we go on a bus to go there and chill on sunday/saturday afternoon. We had very creative dances and other cool co-ed cultural events. It’s quite cool if you display yourself as the alpha male or be part of the main gang. hahahahahahaha.

er… dances are mostly lots of grinding and hookups. seriously though, there’s very leetle dating.

age: people don’t really pay attention to age much [plus there are a crapload of repeats so it’s not like you could base age off of grade]. anyway, it’s definitely more than “appropriate” for you to date people of other grades, even if they’re not your age.
