that freaks me out

why would that freak you out?

hey, don't knock it till you've tried it

The concept doesn't freak me out. Its lbftw's generalization that freaks me out.

I agree with lbftw, the board has been pretty slow lately. Too slow...

I agree with that. A board like lbftws might be welcomed...i suppose.

So at girls schools there are ways to date?

^^
Yeah, there are ways. It can be tough, but there are plenty of people at all girls schools with relationships. There are dances with other schools, though I find that rather awkward for forming a relationship...I mean, you just kind of go and dance for a few hours with a bunch of random guys that you've never met before. Kind of awkward. There are other events that other boarding schools will do together, too, and as a weekend activity sometimes my school with offer a trip to go watch some of the sports games at an all guys school. I was with a guy for a couple months last year but it didn't really work out because we never saw each other, but I have a friend that's been with this one guy for a looong time now and they make it work.

only people who are insecure about their sexual orientation are freaked out by homosexuals. And it's not cool to think badly of other people because of your insecurities. So what if a school is full of lesbians that sleep together? It's no different than a school full of straight couples who are sleeping together, which there are loads of.

BTW, the majority of students who go to all girls schools are not lesbians. I think that the lesbian presence at all girls schools is higher though because people are a lot more respectful and inclusive of those that are different than them.

If you actually COMPREHENDED my post you would see that I am in no way freaked out by lesbians. Whatever floats their boat is 100% fine by me. Did I slam homosexuals? No. I clearly said "The concept doesn't freak me out." I have no problem going to school with lesbains and coming from an affluent, idealized town, I welcome the diversity and the openness that comes with boarding school.
I then go on to say "Its lbftw's generalization that freaks me out." Lbftw's extreme and ridiculous generalization of all girls schools is what is shocking to me. I'm surprised that he would even make such a broad, conclusive statement.
You thought I was slamming homosexuals and you thought that I was freaked out to go to school with them. Keeping in mind that I have ZERO problems with lesbians, I would also like the opportunity to go to school with someone who is straight and I know that there will be plenty. I also know that it is inevitable (no matter what school you are at) that there will be people who are gay. Diversity. I love the word.

So I have a great idea.
Why don't you stop calling me homophobic and actually look at what I wrote...

what I took from your statement was that the concept of lesbians at an all girls school doesn't freak you out, but if it was reality it would

sorry about the mix up

Noo problem.

crickett, along with your toothbrush, 3-ring binder and extra set of sheets, please bring with you to boarding school a sense of humor. i assure you it'll come in handy.

Hah-hah-hah

roses&clovers' explanation for why there seem to be more lesbians at all girls schools is very accurate, along with this reason:

say that in a class of 100 students, there are 50 boys and 50 girls. say that 4 of these girls are lesbians. now, at an all girls school, this class would be comprised of 100 girls. thus, there would be 8 lesbians. and bam- you have more than at a coed school.

its a numbers thing, an acceptance thing, AND a convenience thing.

note: you will have a roommate. she will have a brother. you will go home with her on the weekends, and the brother will be there. he will have 15 friends who are eating pizza in the kitchen. DONT WORRY ABOUT MEETING GUYS!

inspiration, if all your other career aspirations fail, you could always make a handsome living writing a tell-all book about your all-girls boarding school marketed at perverts (not me, but i have a friend who'd be interested).

i was actually thinking about a Loving Annabelle-style movie instead of a book.

hahaha, this is my favorite thread, it's so funny!

Hah. Sketchyy.
