What amount of merit based grant or scholarship did you get?

So far I have only gotten the first letter that says the $12,000 Founders award but haven't gotten any second letter re the financial aid portion. Is that where you were notified of the extra $4000 or was it with the original letter?

i received nothing ranked in the top 10% of my hs class with a 3.8ish gpa (we use the 100 scale) and a 1910 sat. no merit, no need-based. i went up to my dad & said "what the hell do you do for a living that syracuse didn't give us a dime" haha. oh well i've decided to attend elsewhere anyway.

It was all in one letter.

$16,000 for five years (since i applied for architecture) from a donor, i remember.

oh nevermind, i just checked and that was another university.
i only got $4000 each semester. it's called the Chancellor's Scholars.

They gave me Chancellors (8k) and a merit scholarship (4k). I'm confused though, does the need based, grants and w/e come in the same letter as the merit based moola?

I have the same question. So far only a letter saying that I got the Founders but no second letter although I am told it is on the way. So I don't know if I could hope for any more in the second letter

My letter said any need based aid would come in a second letter.

$6000 per year

I received a $20,000 Syracuse National Grant in addition to a few smaller awards, but I don't actually plan to attend.

What is a Syracuse National Grant?

yea i never herda that before either.

i did get a syracuse grant. and an engineering grant. and somethin else. cant remember.

i don't know if it matters if i post so late, tax guy, but I recieved...hm. $12,000 for the Renee Honors (Founders) Schol, $15,000 SU Grant, $3800 pell grant, $12000 SEOG, and then there's loans. So I'd pay ~$11k/year out of 44k. (It's the reason I chose SU over UMich! X) )
