Hey whats up guys? I am going to be a sophomore, and I was wondering how hard it would be to get into NYU. My freshman year was pretty bad, I got As and Bs, and 1 C. However; those were all honor classes(The top level class) What would my SAT and grades need to be from now on if I want to go to NYU? I am willing to work very hard and to get all As for the rest of my high-school career if that is what it takes. I am pretty good at essays, I am taking an AP class right now, everything else honor classes, and I do community service, 50+ each year. Would I have to be more involved in extracurricular activities or something? Well, thanks to the guys that take the time to read this and answer back! See Ya! (Also, I don't know if this makes it harder to get in, but i want to major in business or finance, probably in stern, and be a trader)(Also, I have some connections with people already in the trading business if that helps)

hello? Anyone?

Well being in the top 10% of your class and an sat of 2100 or higher should do the trick. If you really want to impress, study hard for your PSAT junior year, and get national merit. Other than that, try to discover something unique about yourself that separates you from the rest of the students. This goes for all colleges, not just NYU

You really need to worry about this next year. You’re in 10th grade! Go out, have fun take hard courses and do your best. What college you attend (especially as an undergrad) is not the defining act of your lifetime. Enjoy high school and all that has to offer and don’t stress, too much, about what college you will end up at. In some circles, it seems that’s how people define themselves, but trust me, they’re the minority and 10 years from now it won’t make any difference and no one will care where you went to school.
