What are my chances? And how high should I aim?

So I’m currently an incoming junior and I’m stressing quite a bit in terms of where I should be. So it would be amazing if anyone could give me some advice on which colleges would be in my range/places I can improve. I know it’s bit difficult since it’s kind of early, but just a ballpark would be helpful. I’m also pretty sure I’m not calculating my gpa correctly…so if anyone could help me a bit on that as well that would be great!!

Background info: (if any of this is important)
-I want to major in some sort of science since I’m striving to become an orthodontist in the future.
-I go to a competitive private high school in the Bay Area
-Asian
-My school places many restrictions on AP classes that students can take (i.e not allowed to take an AP science until senior year)
-the high school I go to is religious, so I’m assuming our religion class is not counted towards our gpa

Thank you so much in advance!!

Try to bring up your test score. Aim for 1500+.

Hard to chance when most of your grades and test scores are predictions. Keep doing well and talk to your GC.

I think those are reasonable reaches, but also make sure to have some match and safety schools in your mix as well. The problem is that when you’re talking about schools with acceptance rates that are 15-20% or less, you really can’t predict what the ultimate results will be…even if your stats are firmly in the target range. In fact, when acceptance rates dip below 20%, even students who are in 75th percentile or above should consider those applications “lottery” tickets, and make sure they apply to schools with more predictable outcomes, as well.

Bump…
