So how are my chances?

I just really wanna go to American because I am really into the political scene and I know American is best for that. I want to major in Political Science and Journalism. So I would just like to know how disappoint or not I could be in a few months.

anyone? please? bump…

Your GPA is a bit low… is that because of difficult AP classes?

You have some chance… I don’t know very much about American’s admissions (which I should as an applicant…); it seems like it could go either way.

Honestly no. Its cause of my huge extracurricular. Takes up all my time and cant study often. So yeah sucks for me i know. I just really want to get into American. :(

You could always apply as a transfer. I know someone whose gpa was too low for freshman admissions, but was admitted for her sophomore year.

I would say no. But it never hurts to apply.

Your SATs are in range, actually your math and writing are a little aboth their middle range, you may not get great FA, but if you explain your average in your essay you may have a shot. (I’m not in AU/Never applied there, this is just what I know about the college from looking it up). Also the Princeton Review states that “Level of Applicant’s Interest” is a very important factor when considering admission, so make sure to show interest in the school!

Well that is excellent news. I included an explanation of my average in the “Additional Information” section of my application and mentioned it in my essay. Plus I had emailed the admission deans and joined the admissions chats so I’d like to believe I have shown a great deal of interest in the school. Thanks
