I am applying to roughly 5 of the ivy league universites in cluding Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, and Penn my sats is 2140 and I have an unweighted GPA of 4.05. MY extracurricular activities include two seasons of junior varsity track, national Spanish society, co chair for red cross club, Young life bible study in school, Nominated as one of two representatives in school to represent for scholars society, greenhouse club, church competitions, and I am a writer. When I was 14 i wrote a short book and although it is not published Harvard and Princeton admissions officers were impressed and asked me to send them excerpts along with my application and my common app essay may reflect the book i wrote. I am also an underrepresented minority in these universities and would love to attend and ivy- what are my chances??

You have as good a chance as any, due to your ECs. However, to really maximize your chance, that SAT score needs to come up. Also, no unweighted GPA can be over 4.0, so you’re calculating it wrong somehow. Ivies are all crapshoots for everyone, so apply to them, but focus on some other school.

SAT is below the line and EC’s are “meh” at best.
I think Penn is the only one you mentioned that you have any shot at, and that’s a long-shot at best.

Agreed @soze just because you’re “underrepresented” doesn’t mean you’re going to get in. You need a higher SAT score and better EC’s.
