I moved to California from Florida after my freshman year because of my dad’s business which drastically lowered my gpa from a 4.0w to a 2.0w. I just finished my junior year first semester with a 4.0w in IB. My CSU gpa is 3.12. I took a practice ACT and SAT got a 1340(M + R) on the SAT and 29 on the ACT. My eligibility index is 3,836. What are my chances?
Depending on major (non-impacted) you stand a decent chance at an acceptance. For an impacted major, chances are much lower. Good luck
If you are doing engineering than i would say 0% chance. Their avg sat (cr+m) was like 1000 from the last time I checked so i definitely think u got a great chance.
@Pondergotgoat423: Impacted majors are always competitive, so you need to be above the averages in GPA and SAT/ACT scores. Your SAT (Math+CR) is competitive, but your GPA will hold you back a bit. My personal example is my niece whom applied last year as a local in area resident with a CSU GPA of 3.2 and ACT of 30 for Biotechnology (impacted major). She was accepted to several CSU’s including SLO (not Biotech major) but was waitlisted at CPP and never go off the waitlist. Make sure you have some good backup schools and you will be fine.
