What are my chances at UCs? (1 year transfer)

Hello everybody, it’s great to be back here. I’ve been stressing a lot about my UC transfer results in April, so I figured I’d post and get a second opinion on my possibilities. I graduated in 2020, was put on the waitlist for all of my dream colleges, and was ultimately rejected (Hi Berkeley,</3). So I decided to spend a year at CCC to see if I could gain admission after a year there.

I had a 3.49 GPA at the end of the fall semester (6 classes). (Compared to my 3.1 in hs) In my winter session school, I received all A’s. I interned at a local mountain conservation organization, vice-pres for the zero waste club, and work for Postmates. My dream school is UC Berkeley and I applied as a Conservation and Resource Studies major. Because of my low GPA and the fact that colleges will only see my fall semester, I believe my application was doomed from the start. But I finished all my major prerequisites (plus a few extras) and will be done with IGETC, and 60 credits before summer. I am an independent student, who lives in foster-provided housing and it would be great to get to be on campus next year, as ccc is really hard for me rn cause I don’t get to live at home. Do you guys think I stand a chance? :frowning: :pensive:

That should give you a sense of GPA for admitted transfers by major at each UC. It looks like you probably won’t be competitive at UCB with a sub 3.5 GPA, hopefully you applied elsewhere.
