I will finish the last math class my school offers in the Spring. The only Math classes I got B's in were Calc 2&3 but precal, calc 1, and linear algebra were A's. should have 68 units after the spring. Some of the worst B's I got were in big classes like French 1(5 units) and English 1A and General Chem 1(5 units) and Mechanics. Nothing below a B though.

I have a pretty equal balance between A's and B's. too many B's if you ask me. I'm actually considering staying a third year at CC because I know I can raise that up to at least a 3.7. I think I rushed to try and get out of CC too fast but we'll see how it goes...

what do you think? a few different opinions and detailed answers would be nice :)

I’m going out on a limb here but I think you can get it everywhere. Applied mathematics is very much open and not many people apply as a math major. My gf last year was accepted into UCLA and UCSD math with a 3.42 (maybe even a 3.38 but I don’t remember). However she got a 4.0 GPA fall semester of last year (she took calc 3, linear, electricity and magnetism, and a psych course) so the grade trend was strongly in her favor.

But anyways, as long as you finish your prereqs and general ed courses I think you’ll be granted admission hopefully everywhere.

That kinda makes me feel a bit better. haha. Any more opinions?

SD: you will likely get in

B & LA: you’ll get into one or the other (likely LA)

I think the two B’s in Calc II and III hurt you more than anything, but your GPA is right around the average.

Im also looking to get into Berkeley/UCLA Math or Stats, but im applying as Econ and will add it as a double major or minor.

^ True. If you don’t get in UCB or UCLA, its going to be because of the B’s in Calc II and Calc III…
