I was so ecstatic when i got my acceptance to Michigan State so soon after applying. A few days later I got accepted to IU and I was glad i could expect more acceptances. that hasn’t happened. After getting deferred from the English program at UIUC i figured that I would just go to Purdue or Wisconsin. I got denied from both today (Purdue was especially surprising considering my major choice- english). Now i’m worried about my number one dream school of all time, UMN, and would love another acceptance from UIUC to give me a few more options.
Sorry for the rant, I’m just shocked and upset as i loved purdue in so many ways. I got a 29 on my ACT, 3.46 weighted gpa (upward trending my senior year- i just sent first sem transcript- 4.0- to UMN and am hoping it will help) lots of ec involvement and community service and what i thought were well written essays. I’m trying to stay positive but everyone at my school who has applied to UMN has heard back and i still havent… not sure about UIUU. well that’s a way to end my rant, thank you for the help in advance!!
