Well, I REALLY REALLY want to attend CSU Long Beach and from what I heard..CSU Long Beach is the hardest CSU campus to get accepted to. My cousin just started college at UC Riverside and she applied to CSU Long Beach this year and got rejected even though she probably got a 3.5 gpa junior year and got a 4.0gpa w/all reg. classes for senior year. But, her friend got rejected from CSU Long Beach, but got accepted to UC Santa Barbara.
I just don't quite get how can that be.

I'm planning on majoring in graphic design in college and since CSU Long Beach has many majors in the arts - that will be perfect for me to go to that university. I visited the CSU Long Beach campus once during Feburary of this year and I like it! ;)

Okay, well I'm going to start my senior year tomorrow.
Here are my grades, extracurricular activities, clubs, test scores for the past 3 yrs of high school:

9th grade(freshmen yr):
all regular classes.
First semester GPA: 3.8
Second semester GPA:4.0
Clubs: CSF

10th grade(sophomore yr):
all regular and one honors/accelerated class
First semester GPA:3.5
Second semester GPA:3.7
Clubs: None
EC Activities: Girls Varsity Tennis

11th grade(junior yr):
2 AP classes and all regular.
First semester GPA:3.4 (pretty sure)
Second semester GPA: 3.3
Clubs: None
EC Activities: Girls Varsity Tennis

For senior year, I'm going to be taking 7 classes total with two AP classes and One Honors class. Also, I'm going to join girls varsity tennis again for the third year and join 2-3 clubs as well. ;D

I currently have 49 hrs of community service. I just volunteer this summer at the YMCA for about 3 weeks and hopefully will get at least 30 more hours of community service. So, I will be getting about almost 100 hrs. I will also do more volunteering during my senior year as well.

My ACT composite score for the first time was a 15, which is horrible, I know. I will retake it again this month for the last time. I will also take the SAT Subject tests this year as well.

I took two AP Exams on May 2008 which is the AP U.S. History and AP english language & composition exam. I did horrible! I scored a 1 on both exams. =0

My CST(California standized test) scores for junior were:
English -Language Arts: 320(proficient)
Algebra 2: 285(below basic)
Chemistry: 304(basic)
U.S. History: 291(below basic)

Anyways, I think thats about it.
Do you think I have a GOOD chance of getting accepted to CSU Long Beach??

Please reply ;]
THANKS!!!
