What are my chances of getting accepted?

This is gonna be a lot to read but I’m currently going to a community college in the Bay Area. I’m only two semesters away from completing all my GE’s and obtaining my AA-T in Psychology, but I got a D spring semester in Geology. I can still get my AA with a D but I don’t know if I can transfer with that grade, especially one that is part of the GE requirement. My current GPA is a 2.72. Since I’m applying to transfer for fall next year, would that D ruin my chances of getting in to any school? I am planning to retake it in fall this year and the rest of my classes spring semester if I really can’t transfer with that D.

Also, would it ruin my chances if I take my critical thinking class and stats class after I put in my application? (fall and spring)

Fullerton
Long Beach (probably totally out of the picture)
San Marcos
SDSU
Northridge

Unless you are local, SDSU will be a tough admit especially with a GPA below 3.0. CSULB will be a Reach and CSUN only accepted out of area transfers with high GPA’s 3.8+ Definitely retake the class for the best possible chances. As long as you finish your Golden four by Spring you should be fine.
