What are my chances of getting in? Do I have a shot?

I'm currently a high school senior. I have a GPA of 88.6. My school is ranked in the top 10 for best schools in the US, and our grades aren't weighed. I take all honors and AP classes, and I'm a mostly A student.. What KILLED my GPA was that I got a few C's. I got them in history in 9th and 10th, and physics last year, and I hate to put the blame on someone else, but my teachers just weren't the best fit for me, so that really complicated things.

I'm a full time athlete and compete nationally and practice 3 hours a day plus up to 24 hours a weekend. I'm a year ahead in math and science. I switched schools my junior year from private to public school due to bullying. My junior year GPA really affected my overall GPA, and it's really bothering me. I REALLY want to go to Union College in NY, but I'm afraid my GPA and SAT scores are too low. I've done a bit of prep, and I'm getting about a 1800 on the SAT. I want to go into pre medicine. Do I have any shot? Are there any other colleges in new york like union that i could get into? Thank you sosososo much for the help! I really need it!! :)

This is not the chance forum, OP, so you’ll have to take your question over there.

However, I will point out that one doesn’t major in pre-med, and that there are no pre-med majors. You can major in basket weaving as long as you’ve taken the prereqs for med school. Just get a high GPA. Second thing, schools will pay attention to your athletics experience and the amount of time you’re putting in there. Any chance you’d be recruited in your sport? Third, have more than one college, please. There are several thousand in America. The odds are very long that you could find success at any number of them. Grow a list that covers reaches, matches, and safeties.
