What are my chances of getting into Michigan Ann Arbor?

I am a Senior in High School with a 1470 SAT and 31 ACT. My GPA is a 3.87 unweighted, but I am not in the top 10% in my grade (I’m in the top 12%). I hold multiple leadership positions, including starting two clubs at my school and winning a state office in a leadership organization. I have over 100 Community service hours that I have recorded and much more that I have not recorded. I am going to be applying to Michigan for a Computer Science and Math double major, and will hopefully be going through a Pre-Law Program and a minor in Physics. I had a rigorous academic schedule, taking all honors and AP Courses (5 AP’s my Junior Year), maintaining Straight A’s my Junior and Senior Year (I had a rocky Freshman Year with more than a few B’s). Do I have a good chance of getting in? Additionally, I do not live in Michigan but do live in the midwest… I do not know if that has any effect on my admission or not.
Thanks in advance, Raj.

As someone who got in early admission for the fall of 2018, I think you have a good chance. Of course, it also depends on what school you’re applying to there but I applied to LSA.

My personal stats are fairly simple and some of them may not be as impressive:
1470 SAT 32 ACT
4.0 (Valedictorian) but with your rigorous schedule, scores, and EC, I don’t think this may matter as much, especially cause you showed great improvement between freshmen year and now, plus my class is fairly small
I’ve only taken 6 APs in total but my school doesn’t offer a lot
Haven’t started clubs but have held leadership positions and done a lot of community service as well

Generally, you’ve done a lot of impressive things and I don’t think you have much to worry about. In fact, I personally think you’ve done way more impressive things than me. Don’t get too comfortable though. Still make sure your essays are solid and I believe you’ll be very likely to get in.

You are right among the average applicants from OOS, so your chance would be similar to the OOS admission rate which would be in the teens this year. Being in the midwest would be a double-sided sword. They would expect a slightly better yield rate but there are also a lot of other students from the region applying.
