What are my chances of getting into NYU?

Hey. I have started looking at colleges recently and , to me, NYU is the prefect place for me. I know the school is very hard to get into, but I think I'm a very good student. I have been home schooled my entire life so I have no record of any kind for those years. I'm currently enrolled in a community college and plan to transfer in the Fall of 2014.

Here are my stats
GPA: 4.0

ACT: 24 (This is low, but I have more then 30 credits so it no longer counts).

Classes: Have taken all of the basic course and am now taking harder classes (Micro, Chem, Cal).

Clubs and Orgs: Head member of my student orientation team, co-president of school's chapter of PTK Honor Society, member of NSLS, History Club Officers, TA and tutor, work study for dean of students, and have also had the same part time job for 3 years.

Race and status: I'm a first generation Mexican on my father side. Also no one in my family has ever received a college degree, so that make me a first generation student also.

In general: I have been told by many english teachers that I'm the best writers they have seen in years, so I am not worried at all about the essay. Also I am one of the most respected students on campus, so I'm sure who ever writes my letter of recommendation will be fine.

So, honestly, does this sound like it's possible?

You’re unlikely to get in unless you raise your act at least 5 points

I researched this. If you are already enrolled in a college/university and plan to transfer with more then 30 credit hours, then they no longer look at ACT scores. The ACT is, after all, a college placement exam. So there is no need to take it into consideration after that many college classes. Beside that, how does it look?

Oh geez i totally missed the part where you’re in community college. Sorry! Is your high school gpa 4.0? Or college?

4.0 is my college GPA. I was homeschooled, so I don’t have a GPA for my high school years.

That sounds doable…

Yeah sounds like a match.
