What are my chances to get into NYU?

hey guys, i wanted to know what are my chances of getting into nyu. I am of Hispanic origin and this year i took their NYU precollege program which i got a scholarship for. I took a journalism class and ended up getting an A on it. I'm planning to apply Early Decision to CAS if i raise my SAT scores.

GPA: 3.7
SAT: 1730

I've taken all honor classes throughout high school and have taken AP Spanish, AP european history and AP environmental science. i got a 5, 4, and 3 respectively. Also Im taking AP english and AP psychology along with another language, Portugese. I have amazing extracurricular activities to say the least. I am passionately involved in clubs such as the Art club (president), diversity club (vice-president), Model united nations, ASPIRA, Women's Issues Now, yearbook and I'm the natural honors society. I also volunteer in a horse stables that provides therapy for special needs kids, people to people, police explorers and i do clerical work for a hospital in my town.

Raise that SAT up. Your GPA Is higher than the average one for NYU (3.67). Good APs and ECs. URM is good (I am also Hispanic and want to go to NYU!).

Really, if anything could stop you from going there, it’s that SAT score.

Yeah i really need to raise it…the math section is killing me but thank you and Good luck in applying this year! :)

Math is the easiest to improve-- just keep practising. Whether online or with books. Get as many as you can and keep doing math problems. That is how I raised my Math score on the PSAT from Sophomore year (54) to Junior (69). I also have great difficulty with Math.

Even if you get what is generous aid for NYU, you will graduate with a lot of debt. If you can raise the SAT, applying to schools that meet 100% of need with capped loans might be a better goal.
