What are my chances of getting into Ohio State as a transfer student?

I just applied to Ohio State as a transfer student for fall 2016! I am currently a freshman who has only completed 16 credit hours but finished my first semester with a 3.33 gpa. I’m transferring from Ohio University with a major in Chemistry with a Pre-Pharmacy track and I live in-state. My unweighted high school gpa was a 3.9 and my weighted gpa was a 4.01. My ACT score was a 25. When I filled out the application, I didn’t realize that there was an essay portion so now I’m worried that I won’t get in because I didn’t write an entire essay. Do you think I’ll still get in?

Why don’t you call the admission office and see if you can submit the essay now? No one here can tell you more than you can find out yourself by a simple search online that says that about 70% of transfer applicants are admitted.

Thank you but I actually got admitted today!

That is good news indeed!

Did you have to send in your high school transcripts and ACT/SAT scores in addition to your college transcripts? I am also currently applying to transfer and I’m so confused about the process.

Did you actually find out you got in 3 days after you applied?

If you have less than 30 credit hours, then you have to send your high school transcript, college transcript and ACT/SAT scores!

Also, I actually applied in October but I just recently sent in my college transcript. They accepted me a little under a week after they got my college transcript!

Same! for anyone reading this, i started with a 2.6 in Athens. I love OU to death but truly no one takes it super seriously. Im making my decision after Fest season!

I know how you feel! I feel like all the people I went to school with were super incompetent and I couldn’t handle it any longer. That would be cool if you came to OSU!
