What are my chances of getting into some of these schools?

my high school gpa is going to be a 90 (not too sure what that is on a 4.0 scale)

Im taking the SAT's in may but i have a rough estimate of what I will probably get

Math 700-780
Reading 600-650
So out of 1600 I will probably average out on a 1350-1400

Im involved in 14 different club activities.
Im in wrestling and track.
Im involved in an independent science research project to be submitted into INTEL science research by my senior year.
Im an honors and ap student.

Oh and I also won Honorable mention for my long island science congress social science research project in 10th grade.

And ill be taking the math SAT II part 1 in june (which I know I will do excellent on {700-800})

I would like to know if I have a good shot in any of the following schools

SUNY Geneseo
SUNY Binghamton
SUNY Stonybrook
Lehigh university
Georgia Institute of Technology
NYU

Any suggestions or pointers would be greatly appreciated

come on ill chance you backkk

If you actually get those Sat Scores I think you’ll get into all the SUNYs for sure Lehigh and NYU would be a match and GIT would be a low match

Im kind of new to this. What is a match? meaning im not likely?

Match meaning a good shot like you are a match for the type of students the school usually admits

Ohhhh thanks.

If you score as you predict and keep your good grades, you have very very good chances for all of these school.
NYU and GIT may be reaches, but the others are probably for sure.

NYU is a reach… and you GPA on a 4.0 scale is probably 3.67-3.7 (good… but not great)

NYU has the same gpa as geneseo and binghamtom though haha. What about Lehigh and GIT?

To be honest, the only SUNY I am familiar with is SUNY Cortland. So I am sorry that I cannot help you with them.

But I believe you are going to have a good chance of getting into GT if you get 650-700s on your SATs.

Good to see that you are involved in many club activities. However quantity does not matter - quality does.

For NYU, I believe you are required to take two SAT subject tests (unless if you are applying for Tisch).

Speaking of, I think you will get into NYU as well. But for all the schools you mentioned, it really depends on what kind of program that you are wishing to enroll in, and how your ECs and classes reflect on your intended major.

You’ll be fine for the SUNYs and I got accepted into Georgia Tech last week with a 1350/2080 so you should be good there as well. Lehigh’s a match, and NYU can range between a match and a reach depending on your major. (Reach if it’s Stern, match-high match if it’s in any of the other colleges) Something of concern is the fact that you said that you a part of 14 clubs. There is no way that you are actually involved in all 14 of those. Stick to the ones that you actually care about and pretty much stop using those other ones to pad your application. Colleges want quality, not quantity. Everything else looks good, maybe bring your GPA up if anything. Good luck!

How about Lehigh? for lets say major in biology or engineering?

you will most likely get into stonybrook and bing with your current stats, for nyu i’d say try to increase your posssible sat i scores to increase your chances…

I agree with xxxelectro_cute

Chance me back!

Thanks for the chance: IN at geneseo and stonybrook. Slight reach binghamton. Lehigh, Georgia Tech, and NYU are reaches as of now. Its always rough chancing somebody that doesn’t have SAT scores, so figure each school in here could swing the other direction very easily.

I’m not exactly familiar with the SUNY system, so i can’t exactly give you a fair chance. I think Nyu you have a legitimate shot and georgia tech you have a really good shot.

Chance me backkkkk
