what are my chances of getting into stanford?

i am currently a high school sophomore. I am taking 4 ap classes (ap stats, ap english lang, ap psychology, ap world history), and all honors classes besides that. I plan on taking six ap classes next year, and 5-6 ap classes and one college class the year after that. I have a lot of extra curriculars, including PJAS (science competition), battle of the books (literature competition), the “global solve for tomorrow” project (backed by the United Nations, only 4 schools, 15 kids per school selected in the entire country), FBLA (business competition), the gifted program (GIEP), and i run cross country and row crew. I also may have a chance at being recruited for crew. I haven’t received my PSAT scores yet, but i have a good feeling about them. I took a practice ACT test, and scored a 33 (with no practice). I currently have a 4.5 GPA, and it will be closer to 4.9 by the end of high school. I will also probably have an internship to conduct research with NASA at the Glenn Research center this summer, and probably next summer. I travel all over the world with my family, and traveling is my passion. In college i would like to major in some type of Engineering, or possibly Psychology. With these statistics, what are my chances of getting into Stanford? I am also planning to apply early, and Stanford is my DREAM college.

Too early to chance. Keep up the good work.

You are on your way to becoming a very good student. Stanford only accepts very good students. But they reject lots more very good students.

At some point if you haven’t already, you’ll take Statistics. I am sure that with your GPA you will do well at this class. You will be able to understand what a single-digit acceptance rate means.

My D loves it at Stanford, but she truly did not expect to be accepted.
