Hello. I am new to the whole College Confidential Experience. I am a Junior in High School. I have a 4.7 weighted GPA. Out of state. I really like UCLA, and it is my top school.... Can someone please enlighten me on the probability of me getting in? I want to go into Dentistry eventually, but I want to maybe major in Journalism, and take the prerequisites for the DAT. I really need help. Thank you.

4.7? Is this on a 4-point system?

If so, then that’s pretty damn impressive…

What are your extracurriculars?

No, no. I am it is a 3.7 on a 4.0. I wish I was that smart. I am in over 15 different EC’s. I play Varsity Tennis. Started an Indian Students Association, and I participate in multiple different charitable organizations.

I am also VP of Model United Nations, in Spanish Club, Had a leadership role in a Peer Leadership program. I also am on the Junior Board at a local community center and the Teen Board at a Center that teaches children Health and wellness. I also really do apologize for my late response.

SAT Score? SAT 2?

I did not take the SAT yet but I am going to be taking Subject Tests in US History and Literature which are my stronger subjects.

I got rejected from UCLA with a 4.17 and a SAT score of 1740. Just to give you perspective, but keep in mind my SAT was pretty poor in comparison to others.

27 ACT as of yet but that is probably going to change.

Yeah I thought odds were not looking well in my favor. But then what are some comparable match schools for an average person like me?

I had almost identical stats - 3.7 UW and 4.7 W. Only difference was that I had leadership positions in my ECs,d a 33 ACT, and 750/780 on subject tests. I was accepted. You should be okay, but really focus on those tests and ECs.
