What are my chances of getting into University of Georgia out of state?

I applied to Georgia early admission and I want to know my chances. I’m out of state (Oregon) and I have a 3.85 gpa and 29 ACT. Major is communications. Thanks!

Anyone? :frowning:

One of my D’s had a 29 and a 3.8 something and was admitted EA for this past fall. It does seem to get more competitive each year though.

@FamilyofFive what major did they apply for? Were they out of state?

Did you calculate your UGA gpa? Check the admission blog and calculate it. That will help you determine if you qualify for EA

I believe she listed Biology as she was interested in nursing. We were considered out of state for the application process. We moved to GA a few weeks before senior year, but were classified as OOS since we had not lived in GA for 12 months before the application was filed.

Is she sure UGA is a good fit, seeing as she is a nursing major? They don’t have nursing, so students interested in this path will need to transfer out Jr year or go back to another college after graduating UGA to earn their BSN.
