So, it looks like I will finish the first semester of my senior year with 2 B’s and 4 C’s, most of them are C+'s (I know…) What are my chances now? Should I contact all the colleges about this situation or would they not worry about it?

Don’t contact them. Your guidance counselor will send an update and then you’ll have till the end of the year to pull all your grades to C+, B-, B, and more. If you don’t, yes you may be rescinded.

I think this is only a major worry if any of the colleges required self-reporting or predictions for senior grades, and you were unrealistic or unduly optimistic. You did not fall from straight As to Cs; your average doesn’t seem to have changed much from the one they accepted you with. As I understand, most rescissions come from some of the large public universities which do not require transcripts until they have accepted a student. Otherwise, if a poor grade came in a course that is required for a planned course of study (e.g. Calculus or Physics from an Engineering applicant), you might be in trouble. The other danger is dropping a major academic class if a college considered your senior course work in their decision (most do).
