I am planning to apply to UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, UCI, UCSD, UCLA and UC Berkeley. (4 of which I have been guaranteed admission already, so I'm really only applying to UCSD, UCLA, and UC Berkeley) What are my chances of getting into those 3 schools?

Academics:
GPA - Weighted: 4.35
Class Rank: top 4%

Scores:
SAT I Math: 670
SAT I Critical Reading: 560
SAT I Writing: 570
(Total SAT score: 1800)

ACT: 26
SAT II U.S. History: 490
SAT II Math Level 2 (IIC): 650

AP Scores:
English Language: 3
Biology: 1

Senior Schedule:
AP Calculus AB
AP English Literature
AP Government and Politics

Extracurriculars:
Dance team, won national champion titles (4 years)
National honor society (senior year)
Class council (4 years)
Filipino-american club (3 years)

Awards:
top scholar award (4.0+ gpa) for 3 years in a row;
Granted ELC status (recognized by the University of California as top 4% of senior class, guaranteed admission into UC Merced, UCR, UCSB, UC Davis, and UCI)

You’ll get into the schools for ELC because of GPA alone.

Being brutally honest, I doubt you will get into UCLA or Cal, let alone UCSD.
SAT is too low.
ACT is too low.
Subject tests are abysmal.
AP scores are abysmal.

“so I’m really only applying to UCSD, UCLA, and UC Berkeley) What are my chances of getting into those 3 schools?”

Theoretically, you are still applying to the schools you were offered ELC admission to. You still have to check the boxes and pay the fees. Just wanted to mention this…

@jshain Haha yeah I’m aware that I have to check the boxes and actually apply for those schools, but thanks for letting me know!

Sigh, apparently my sat scores have left me hopeless for any of the competitive UC’s… now I’m just deciding where my best fit would be between UC Irvine, UC Davis, and UC Santa Barbara.

Maybe “flawed” would be a better word choice. If you want some discussion on this, you may want to post a new thread in the “Colleges” section by going to the letter “C” and posting under “University of California- GENERAL”. There are probably previous threads on this very topic as well.

Dance seems to be a big part of your life. I love going to the Barclay Theater on the UCI campus for musical/theater/dance productions and you probably would love being near this on-campus venue as well. The close proximity to Newport Beach, South Coast Plaza, and the Spectrum is also really nice. The city of Irvine, as you probably already know, is quite spread out, with no real defined downtown area. It probably has the greatest number of commuters among the 3 campuses.

If you can go visit UCSB and UCD. All 3 have a distinctly different feel:

I love the towns of Santa Barbara, and the neighboring town of Montecito, however UCSB seems quite removed from both. The campus is bordered by the ocean, an airstrip, and the town of Isla Vista- where most of the off-campus student housing is located. The town is densely populated and, on any given night, numerous parties can be seen and heard.

UCD is a short distance from downtown Davis. The town of Davis is very bicycle-friendly and has one of the highest number of bike path miles of any city its size in the country. From Davis, you can easily travel on public trasportation into Sacramento and the S.F. Bay Area. UCD is a really nice school, with a lot to offer.

Definitely go visit UCSB and UCD and determine for yourself which one is right for you.
