What are my chances? William & Mary, UVA

<p>Hi there-- I'm pretty new to this, but I was wondering what everyone's opinion was on my chances of getting into the College of William and Mary and/or University of Virginia.</p>

<p>I'm a white male currently residing in the state of Virginia.</p>

<p>SAT Scores-
Critical Reading- 630
Math- 780
Writing- 690</p>

<p>Total- 2100</p>

<p>GPA-
Weighted with a 4.55 GPA. I got to a Specialty Center for the Math/Science field, and since it is so competitive, we do not get ranked. Located in Midlothian, Virginia.</p>

<p>AP Classes-
US History, Statistics, Environmental Science, Psychology, US Government, Music Theory, English Literature, Calculus AB</p>

<p>Extracurriculars-
Varsity Cross Country- 4 Years
Varsity Indoor Track- 4 Years
Varsity Outdoor Track- 4 Years (Captain 12th grade)
Treasurer of Mu Alpha Theta, Mathematics Honors Society
National Honors Society
Tri-M Music Honors Society
Beta Club
Head Council of the Freshman Transition Program
Part-Time Waiter at Local Retirement Community during the school year/summer (my job)

Private Cello Lessons- With Juilliard Alumni, on faculty at William and Mary</p>

<p>I do most community service through my Church. Bake Sales, Neighborhood Cleanups, Feeding the Homeless, etc. I have been on four separate week-long Mission Trips during the summer. Two to West Virginia, and two to Pittsburgh.</p>

<p>Awards-</p>

<p>Junior Service Award
Orchestra Student of the Year- 9, 11 Grades
Scholard Athlete Award- Awarded 9 separate times.

<p>Also, 730 on Math 1 Subject test, 600 on Lit subject test (I am aware the Lit subject test is not that great)</p>

<p>make you send them a recording of you playing cello, because that would really help and make you stand out. otherwise, you look pretty good. your test scores may be on the low side, but you’re in-state, which should help. good luck!</p>

<p>If you dont mind me asking, what was your UW GPA? I have somewhat similar stats and will apply to UVA and William and Mary next year. I get the reverse of you math and CR scores, with that exact W score. Congrats, by the way.</p>

<p>Hey no problem. I think my UW gpa is around 3.75 or so… I never relaly had to calculate it. I am in a pretty rigorous program though! This year I am in 6 AP’s, for example</p>

<p>Thanks. I have a lightly higher GPA (3.9) but slightly less AP courses (I have 4 so far, and 3 more next year).</p>
